Dana passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 after driving home from a great day of skiing in the Teton Mountains. He was born June 11, 1954 in Elmira, NY to Paul Bartley Wood and Joyce Beverly Wood. He was one of ten children. He graduated from Elmira Southside High School, Tennessee Tech University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, and Pennsylvania State University, where he earned his masters degree in nuclear engineering. Dana was employed as the director of operations at Idaho Falls School District No 91. His former employers included; Idaho National Laboratory, Mito Engineering, and Chattanooga Glass. He was a member of the Idaho Falls Nordic Ski Patrol and Kelly Canyon Alpine Ski Patrol. Dana is survived by his wife of 23 years, Camille James of Idaho Falls; sons, Dana Robert Wood II of Carlisle, PA, Warren Christopher Wood of Rochester, NY: Daughters, Melissa Wood Radcliffe of Cambridge, MD, and Madison Joyce Wood of Idaho Falls: brothers, Paul Wood and Laurie Allen Wood, both of NY, Albert Wood of NC, Walter wood of FL, Mark Wood and John Wood both of PA: sister, Karen Skorusa and Betty Jean Hanes, both of PA, and his five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Wood King. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Services for family and close friends Saturday at Old Mill Woods Bed & Breakfast.
